That really depends on what your objective is and what you are trying to achieve. Our self-paced series of courses provide higher level overviews of topics and enable easy consumption of material. They also offer detailed insight into a PM is expected to do and how build up product knowledge. It's more economical, and a better experience for you, to try our self-paced series to ensure you like the content and tooling. Our free course is the obvious easiest place to start.

Once completed, you could then apply for a instructor led course seat. Taking or not taking this course wouldn't affect your instructor led course application. We offer alumni discounts if you start with self-paced and are accepted into a instructor led course.

Self-paced courses can be taken by anyone and do not require an application. Any level of experience can the self-paced series of courses.

Our instructor led course content moves very quickly and assumes that you have at least a few years of professional work experience in the technology industry. If you haven't had that before, it may be harder to apply the content directly and so we recommend applicants do have that before applying.

The fast answer is - no. While there is an incredible amount of information online - it's typically not coherently actionable, is piecemeal and a lot is dated.

You will never get the structure and in depth perspective that you would otherwise get from our courses on product management. Being able to ask seasoned industry leaders their experienced perspective, deep diving on practical content and being able to learn actionable and defendable lessons is a critical value driver that you just won't get elsewhere.

Applications are required for every instructor led lecture course and we appreciate and take time to consider every single application we received. The reasons we implemented an application process was to ensure that we maximize your chances of success with the material based on your career experience level. If your application is successful, you will receive an email to join the course and upon receiving payment - your seat will be reserved.

Self-paced courses usually have many hours of video. It's recommended that you consume videos, take notes and then try to apply the material in your current role, team and company.

Instructor led courses are structured with both self-paced videos and a live weekly lecture. It is expected that you will have consumed the videos prior to the lecture where much of the content will be discussed. You should expect to devote at least 4-6 hours per week on the live lecture material.

No, this course is not endorsed or affiliated to Google in anyway. Some of our instructors and featured guests may work at Google (and other leading technology companies) but the content is not endorsed by any of these respective companies.

Generally, live courses are for PMs, engineers, designers, marketers, data scientists, growth leaders and more who want to become product managers or level up their skills.

All courses are spoken in English and required an internet connection. We accept applications from anywhere in the world. Successful applications usually have:

• Industry Experience - Some level of industry experience between 1-3+ years in a technology or online business.
• Growth Mentality - Appreciates continuing education and a desire to up their skills in an online community driven way.
• Product Specific - We are focused on building the best product managers and our content is targeted to that audience. If thats not you, we don't recommend our courses.

We do not think you will be a good fit for our courses if you trying to:

• Career Hack - If you're goal is to career hack your way to success in product management, our courses aren't a good fit for you.
• Non-tech focus - Our courses focus on technology product management, if thats not you, the content might be harder to adapt.
• No industry experience - Our courses & our content will be harder for you to adapt without some professional career industry experience.
• Academic - We are looking to train industry experts and our courses are targeted at developing great practical PMs. If that's not you or your goal - then please don't apply.

Instructor led courses dates are available on the courses page and each individual course overview page. You can attend an instructor led course from any place in the world - as long as you have a computer or mobile phone. Most lectures will occur on a Tuesday or Thursday, in the evening (6-7:30PM), Pacific Standard Time (PST). All events are recorded and available for consumption after if you cannot make a lecture.

Demand for our courses is rapidly growing and we actively restrict the total number of seats per course. We want to ensure that your experience and successful application of material from our instructor led courses is maximized - smaller groups help make rich discussion and question asking easier.

Many applicants don't have the right mix of experience for our courses however. The best way to know is to apply and our team can review your application for the selected course.

Self-paced courses

There are no refunds offered on self-paced courses. Once you sign up to the course, you will have immediate access to the content and therefore we have no obligation to refund you for any reason and reserve full discretion in this regards.

If you pay to access the Service, you are eligible for a refund up until the date at which the course begins.
